02. Department


KabuK Style Group adopts a unique organizational design to better embody its 5 Values. There are three main forms of departments depending on their purpose: Tribe, Guild, and Unit. Although it may look complex, it is easily understood once you grasp the concept.

Tribe is a business development department committed to the growth of the Product. Not only promotions for acquiring users and improving sales, but also analysis and specification determination for functional development to achieve those goals are carried out. Each Tribe has a Product Manager who is responsible for achieving the predefined KPIs.

Guild is a department where Engineers and Designers belong. They are assigned to appropriate Squads based on their strengths and desired career paths and are periodically reviewed. They often contribute to Product growth by joining a Tribe, but may also be assigned to special projects.

Unit is responsible for the specific functions assigned to each unit. For example, the Accommodation Unit is responsible for developing and expanding accommodation facilities, as well as increasing transaction volume. The MaaS Unit collaborates with transportation providers, particularly airlines. There are also units for back office functions such as Corporate Unit, Legal & Compliance, and Strategy Unit, which is globally common. Additionally, there may be projects under the direct supervision of the CEO or COO/CTO.

HafH Coliving Operations (HafHCo) and User Success Communities (USC) are the strategic subsidies. HafHCo operates hotels as a platform to strengthen and experiment with the HafH brand. USC is responsible for user support, and user success.

GUILD - Engineers & Designers

The guilds are groups where specialists (software engineers and designers ) belong to. All members in the guilds are expected to contribute to the missions of the tribes by joining them as a member with full ownership while they also join continuous activities to improve the software, product and the way of doing things across the teams as a professional.

To make the guilds and works there meaningfully challenging for all members all the time, it’s encouraged for all members to try to get wider knowledge and experience so that the members can continuously grow along with the business growth.
